Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting services are offered to KU students, staff, and faculty for no cost by appointment only. For an appointment, please go this page and login: publicsafety.ku.edu/fingerprinting-calendar.
If you are not a KU student, staff, or faculty member, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office does offer fingerprinting services. Their infomation can be found here: https://www.dgso.org/.
A number of agencies and organizations require fingerprints. Carefully read the instructions provided by the agency or organization in regards to fingerprints to ensure that you have everything you need when you arrive for fingerprinting. Please bring those instructions with you.
We require the following:
valid driver's license
valid photo ID if photo is not on driver's license
Valid KU ID
Fingerprint card if one is provided by the agency or organization.
Envelope with adequate postage if we are required to mail it for you.
Any additional paperwork to be completed by us for the agency or organization.
Guests of the person being fingerprinted are not allowed in the building at this time.
